The location for St Austell was marvellous, short walk to Heligan, St Austell, and lost garden. Apart from that, Menacuddle Well was 15 minutes away by driving. My double room was exceptional with a work desk, coffee and tea making equipment, and TV. It had exceptionally comfortable beds, gates.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful in a genuine way. The rooms were also very clean. There is, however, a long walk to the bedrooms for anyone with walking difficulties as there is no lift system for passangers only baggage.
I originally booked a deluxe room but the TV did not work and it was opposite the large noisy extraction fan from the kitchen below. Also no view. When changed to a normal room I did not like the bath, washhand basin in the bedroom as there was no privacy to have a quiet bath when others were watching the TV. I did however like the view from the normal room!!
